Everlume LED Lighting by Progress Lighting

As part of its ongoing commitment to manufacture energy-efficient products, ProgressLighting was the first to introduce a residential LED lighting line to the market. LED fixtures are a more environmentally-responsible solution with the benefit of a lifetime of illumination that can last over 30,000 hours (more than 20 years under normal home usage). According to Energy Star, energy efficient choices can save families about a third on their energy bill with similar savings of greenhouse gas emissions, without sacrificing features, style or comfort.  Even though this new technology can provide significant energy savings in the long run, as well as lessen our impact on the environment, LED fixtures and products have a long way to go before they become mainstream.

Affordability
As LED technology becomes more mainstream, it too will become more affordable and deliver far greater savings benefits to both the home buyer and home builder.  Just like the technology behind plasma televisions and new phones that can do it all:  At first, this technology was only enjoyed by few but now is much more common among individuals and homeowners.

Availability
By introducing a wide variety of fixtures – from cove lighting to chandeliers and from outdoor lanterns to recessed lighting – with a variety of styles, designs and finishes, the more appealing these products can be to the mass public.  Everyone has their own unique sense of style, and one standard LED fixture won’t fit everyone’s tastes or needs. Because Progress Lighting has decided to lead this initiative and invest in research and design elements that not only provide energy-efficient benefits but also are aesthetically pleasing, homeowners and homebuilders can feel comfortable selecting Progress Lighting's LED fixtures.     

Education
The more requests homebuilders receive to incorporate LED fixtures in homes, the more education becomes a key component for homebuilders to feel confident in requesting and discussing LED fixtures for residential applications. Over the past year, Progress Lighting has made it a priority to educate homebuilders and consumers on the benefits of LED (also referred to as Solid State Lighting) technology through special events, literature and promotional tools, as well as trade shows.
